The Category Pages Report in WP Statistics provides insights into the performance of category pages on your website, such as /category/guides/. These pages act as archives, displaying content grouped under a specific category or taxonomy.
This report focuses on the views and visitors for these category (taxonomy) pages themselves, not the performance of the contents within each category. For insights into the performance of contents under a specific category, refer to the Category Analytics Report.
The report includes the following columns:
Category: Displays the name of the category or taxonomy page (e.g., Blog, News, Updates).
Category Page Views: The total number of views the category page (e.g., /category/guides/) has received during the selected time period.
Total Published Contents: The number of published posts or items under each category.
Action: A link to view the actual category page on the website.
Custom taxonomy page performance is available through the Data Plus add-on. The core of WP Statistics covers standard taxonomies like Categories and Tags.
Filters
The Category Pages Report includes the following filters to refine the data:
Date Range Filter
Taxonomy Type Filter Filter by the type of taxonomy. The core version of WP Statistics supports Categories and Tags. For custom taxonomy page reports, the Data Plus add-on is required.
