The WP Statistics plugin features two main types of charts for analyzing your website’s data:
Line Charts
Horizontal Bar Charts
1. Line Charts
Line charts are commonly used to display metrics like Visitors and Views over time. Here’s how to navigate and utilize them:
Key Features:
Metric Toggle: The metrics (e.g., Visitors, Views) are displayed at the top left. You can click on any metric to hide or show it for better comparison.
Previous Period Comparison: Dotted lines indicate data for the previous period, allowing you to quickly compare performance trends. To disable this feature, navigate to:
Settings → Display Options → Uncheck Previous Period in Charts.
Dynamic Intervals:
Daily: The default interval for date ranges under 61 days.
Weekly: Automatically applies if your date range is 61 days or more.
Monthly: Activated for date ranges of 181 days or more.
Custom Date Format: The charts use the date format you’ve set in your WordPress settings, ensuring consistency with your website.

2. Horizontal Bar Charts
Horizontal bar charts are primarily used in widgets on the Dashboard or Overview Page to display distribution data, such as operating systems or browsers.
Key Features:
Data Display: Shows both the number and percentage of the top 4 items, with the rest grouped as “Others.”
Compact Visualization: Ideal for quick insights into categories like most-used operating systems, browsers, or other top contributors.
