Install the WP Statistics Plugin

Installing the WP Statistics free plugin on your WordPress website is so easy and similar to install any other plugins. You can do it in different ways. Here we will show you 3 ways of installing WP Statistics:

Pre-installation

  • The plugin is compatible with cache plugins, only if you enable Cache Compatibility in Settings » General.
  • In the case of Cache Compatibility being enabled, WP Statistics REST API must not be disabled. For more information click Here.

Install WP Statistics from WordPress Plugins Directory (Recommended)

You can install and activate the plugin by searching it in the WordPress dashboard by following the below steps:

  1. Login to your WordPress Admin Panel
  2. Navigate Plugins » Add New on your sidebar dashboard
  3. Type WP Statistics on “Search Plugins…” search bar
  4. Rollover on WP Statistics and click on the Install Now button
  5. After that, Activate Button will appear and you can activate it

Install WP Statistics by Uploading the File

You can upload the file of WP Statistics directly to your WordPress website by following these steps:

  1. Download WP Statistics
  2. Login to your WordPress Admin Panel
  3. Navigate Plugins » Add New on your sidebar dashboard
  4. Click on the Upload Plugin button on the top left of the page

  5. Choose the zipped file of WP Statistics that you have downloaded.

  6. After you have selected the file, click on the Install Now button.

The file will be installed on your WordPress website. Then you will see a success message after the installation is finished.

  • NOTE: Depend on the version you installed, you may encounter this error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WP_Statistics_Updates' not found in
/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics-welcome.php:78

You can ignore it. Because it belongs to our previous versions and it will not cause any problem, and it occurs once while updating to the new version.

In the end, you should click on the Activate Plugin link to start using the add-on.

Install WP Statistics by Using FTP

In this method, you can install WP Statistics by using an FTP client like Filezilla, FireFtp, and Cyberduck.

  1. Download WP Statistics
  2. Use an FTP client to access your host web server
  3. Upload WP Statistics to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  4. Login to the WordPress Admin Panel
  5. Navigate Plugins » Add New on your sidebar dashboard
  6. Find WP Statistics and click the Activate button to activate the plugin
