Deprecating the Honey Pot Trap Page Option

In version 14.13 of WP Statistics, we are removing the Honey Pot Trap Page option. This decision was made to simplify the user experience and reduce the risk of misidentifying legitimate visitors as bots.

Why Are We Deprecating This Feature?

  1. User Confusion: The Honey Pot Trap Page setting has caused confusion for some users, leading to unintended configurations that can inadvertently block real visitors.
  2. Improved Bot Detection: With recent updates, WP Statistics now includes a more advanced and reliable bot detection mechanism. This makes the Honey Pot Trap Page redundant, as you can effectively filter out most bots without this extra setup.

What Should You Do?

No action is required on your part. WP Statistics will continue to protect your data from bot traffic with our updated detection system.
